It's All $hits & Giggles...

"It's All Shits and Giggles...  Until Someone Giggles and Shits" is a stamp by Creative Vision.  The 5 friends stamp is from an unknown source.  The designer paper company is also unknown.  I used a die from The Stamp Doctor to cut out this flip card.  I cut out gifts & hats from the designer paper as embellishments and added Stickles to the hats, gifts and cupcakes to add some sparkle.

Happy Birthday, Anna........................Love, Paulette

Iris Fold Graduation Card

This graduation cap is a new iris fold stamp from Stamp N Plus.  The stamp is not yet posted on the website but can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873.  I chose the colors of my niece's son's high school.  I used a pearlescent paper that I embossed in my Cuttlebug with an argyle patterned folder for the background. The 13 was embossed on silver paper with a Bingo embossing folder by Sizzix.  An red gem was added to the tassel as an accent.

It's Memorial Day and the colors in this card reflect the red, white and blue and seem appropriate for today's tribute to our fallen soldiers.   Paulette

Meow Spoken Here!

Jmaraul aka Joyce is hosting a swap on SCS entitled Stand Up & Shout It. Criteria are:
We've made so many flat pieces of fabulous art, now it's time to make them dimensional! Your artwork must have legs to stand on or have legs that dangle over the side of a shelf (shelf sitter). It must also say something - a quote must be included - either front or back. here's your chance to speak up, say what you need to say and be totally creative!

These front & back stamps were purchased back in the early 90's and I'm sure the company is no longer in business. They were designed to have an empty sewing thread spool or a small roll of lifesavers in between the front & back. For these I used 2 buttons wired together as the body.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!   ...Paulette

Graduation Cap Card

Another idea for a graduation card.  The "Happy Graduation" stamp can be purchased by calling LuAnn at Stamp N Plus 715-271-1873.  I stamped with a Versamark ink & embossed with a gold embossing powder.  The date was created with stickers.  The tassel is embroidery thread attached with a brad.
Congratulations, Royce!  Love you forever.  Parknslide Gramma

Candy-Gram for Royce's Graduation

My grandson, Royce, graduates from Fenton High tomorrow.  Fenton's school colors are orange & blue.  I made him this candy-gram.  It reads:  You took on the SMARTIES, the AIRHEADS, & the NERDS to SKOR a diploma. This is nothing to SNICKER(S) about.  Soon you will have a PAYCHECK of ZERO to 100 GRAND.  Don't be a BUTTERFINGER or play TWIX.  Your future is GOOD & PLENTY.  Enjoy the SIMPLE PLEASURES.  You can be FAMOUS (AMOS), go shopping to New YORK, become a STAR(BURST), climb the ANDES or even ORBIT the MILKWAY.  It's all UP2U.  Love you always, Parknslide Gramma.

Let's Go Surfing

One of my favorite memories of my time in Hawaii was when my BFF, Hedy, came to visit.  Our mission was to have a picnic at sunset on a different beach each evening at sunset.  I made this card to commemorate this special time.

To create the background sunset I used the powdered chalk colors: Dizzy, Sky, Peach, Gitty and Perky.  You can find all powdered chalks by Stamp N Plus HERE.  As I've mentioned before, I use Staples matte photo paper with the Chalk-AH-Lots.  This paper really seems to enhance the beauty of the chalks.  The surfboards were cut with a Spellbinders die, I embossed them to create the design on the boards and used the die as a stencil to create the outlines.  The tropical leaves were cut with a die by Joy! Crafts.  I added some silk flowers and Flower Soft centers.

Surf's Up!  Grab your board and head to the beach...Paulette

Mermaid and Seagull

I just love this mermaid stamp by Stamp N Plus.  It is F2159 and can be found HERE.
I stamped and then colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.  To add sparkle, I added Ultimate Glitter acrylic paints to her dress, the waves, the seashell cap, the gull and the clouds.  The seashells in the bottom left corner are peel-off outline stickers.  I added gold Stickles to the starfish.  Some pearl beads complete the embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by...Paulette

Prairie Sunrise

Since I discovered how well the Staples matte photo paper reacts with Chalk-AH-Lot powdered chalks, I have been on a chalk kick in my designs.  I was also inspired by a CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge over on Splitcoaststampers that is using the quote "May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace."

The stamp is by Penny Black.  The green paper is Club Scrap embossed vellum and the orange patterned paper is DCWV.  The Chalk-AH-lot powdered chalk colors are:  Mossy Green, Dandy, Peach and Fizzy.  Some dots of moss green Stickles complete the design.

Have a sunny day...Paulette

Sloth---One of the 7 Deadly Sins

I'm in a swap on Splitcoaststampers of 3"x3" cards with the 7 Deadly Sins as the theme.  I picked "Sloth." I chose this stamp to illustrate sloth and found a photo on-line that was similar for the back of the 3x3" card. The image was stamped using Versamark and gold EP on glossy black cardstock. The dangles are from a deconstructed earring.

Have a great day...I may choose "sloth mode" today.  Paulette

My Awesome Weekend at the Sayner Stampede

The 16th Annual Sayner Stampede was held in Sayner, WI this past weekend.  It was my 4th time attending and a great opportunity to meet-up with my peeps from Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls (Denise, Deb, LuAnn and Julie) for a fun-filled weekend of stamping, shopping, eating, drinking, laughing and sharing.  My BFF Sandi drove up with me from Sun Prairie.

The weekend started on Friday with a lunch at Noodles in Wausau.  Then a bit of shopping at the Wausau JoAnn's, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby and Michaels.  On to St. Germaine to check-in to our motel and to pre-shop any of the stuff we brought for the used stamp sale.  Then to Sayner to drop off our stamps and stuff for the sale.  Dinner was at the local Sayner pub.  A night at the motel included  catching up, crafting and sharing.

Saturday it was off to the Used Stamp Sale followed by a trip down the road to the stamp convention.  The Mark-It Place, the local stamp store, is going out of business.  So we spent a bit of time and $s there too.  Then on to Minoqua for lunch at the Thirsty Whale.  Back to Sayner for another trip through the used stamp sale since by now the "feeding frenzy" was over and there was more room to breathe and shop the stuff we missed on our early morning shop.  Then it was back to the motel where we spread out our loot on the beds and oohed & aahed over each other's purchases.  Then at 4PM we headed back to Sayner to pick up any money we earned from selling our stamps.  Back at the hotel we took a power-nap or started playing with all our new purchases.  Snacking and drinking ensued and later in the evening we headed to the restaurant across the street for dinner.  Followed by more crafting.

Sunday AM it was breakfast at the hotel, we packed up and headed home after one more stop for lunch in Wausau.
This is the big room at the start  of the used stamp sale.  The stamps and craft supplies are piled 3-5 levels high.  There are also items all along the perimeter of the room.  This view shows 2 of the 3 long rows of tables.

Another view of the main room showing the 3rd row of tables.

This is the same room 1 hour before the end of the sale.

Another room of stamping goodies.  This photo was taken 1 hour before the end of the sale.

Imagine Butterfly

For the Primrose/White/Coral challenge on Splitcoaststampers, I found this designer paper in a Spring stack by DCWV. The butterfly was cut out with a Cuttlebug die and embossed with a matching embossing folder. A second butterfly was diecut out of white to serve as a shadow. I added some orange gems to the butterfly. The butterfly was adhered to the card with dimensionals. "Imagine" was stamped and then it and its frame were cut with Spellbinders label dies. A bit of "Crimson" powdered chalk by Chalk-AH-Lot was first dusted onto the white label.  The "Imagine" stamp by Stamp N Plus can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873.

Have a lovely day.  Paulette

A Mother's Day Rose

This card practically made itself.  The beautiful rose patterned paper is from DCWV.   The black lines of the paper appear to be heat-embossed and add an extra touch of elegance to the design. The butterfly was cut from white cardstock with a Cuttlebug die and embossed with a matching Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Chalk-AH-Lot powdered chalks were used to color the butterfly.  The colors used were:  Blush, Nifty, Dusk & Peach.  Believe was stamped on white cardstock and cut out with a Spellbinders label die. The Believe stamp is available from Stamp N Plus.  This stamp is not featured in the on-line catalog but can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873.  I used die-cut black cardstock to add the shadows to the butterfly and the label.  The butterfly is popped up on dimensionals and black half-pearls were added to the butterfly.

Hope this card inspires you to create or send a Mother's Day card.  Sending  early Happy Mother's Day Greetings to all the moms who are visiting my blog.  Love, Paulette

The Bloom of Hope

I'm using the Chalk-AH-Lot powdered chalks again.  This time with a cool color palette.  The chalks I used are Another chalk card. Chalks used: Lime, Gem, Gitty, Dizzy & Mulberry.
The tree is a Spellbinders D-Lite die cut.  The label and black frame were also cut with Spellbinders dies.  The stamp "Hope" is from Stamp N Plus.  It's not on the website but can be ordered by calling LuAnn at:  715-271-1873.  Embellishments are blue rhinestones and rhinestone flowers.
Inspiration for this card is a quote:  All it takes is one bloom of hope to make a spiritual garden. ~Terri Guillemets
Hope you are having a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.  Paulette

Summer Sunset

Since I discovered how well the Staples matte photo paper reacts with Chalk-AH-Lot powdered chalks, I have been on a chalk kick in my designs.  I was also inspired by a CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge over on Splitcoaststampers that is using the quote "May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace."

The little girls stamp is by Rubber Stampede and the word "Play" is by Stamp N Plus.  The Chalk-AH-lot powdered chalk colors are:  Mossy Green, Dandy, Peach and Fizzy.

Another rainy week is on tap this week here in the MadCity but hope we will soon be playing in the sun.  Paulette
