Did I Frog-et?---June Stamp N Plus Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to Stamp N Plus Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!!

My name is Paulette and I have been a member of the Stamp N Plus Design Team for more than 3 years. I have been rubberstamping since the mid-80's. I am new to blogging and this is my first blog hop.

If Tina sent you over for a visit, then you are exctly where you are meant to be. If you just happen to be visiting, then you should head over to Stamp N Plus for the beginning of this fabulous hop!

The frog stamp can be found HERE. I paper-pieced both the frog (a lumpy textured lime green paper) and the log (a wood grain textured paper). The background designer paper is from DCWV Spring Fling paper pack---dragonflies just seem to go with frogs. The sentiment is computer-generated. I glitzed up the paper flowers with some Stickles and rhinestones. To add a touch of whimsy I gave Mr. Froggy some bulbous eyeballs with eyelashes. Don't "FROG-et" to leave me a comment!

Now it's time to visit Jackie and get some more inspiration on how to use this stamp.

If you get lost along the hop, here is the complete line up:

Hula Kitty in Purple & Green

Patti's kids Hula Kitty can be found at www.stampnplus.  I paper-pieced the grass skirt after making it into fringe and adding Stickles.  Leaf is a Cheery Lynn die cut.  I added silk flowers with Stickled centers.  Tiny flowers also have Stickled centers.  The background is a slightly sanded DCWV textured cardstock that has been embossed with an embossing folder.  Lavendar background paper is also DCWV.

Thanks for looking!

Happy B'Day Kitty

I made Birthday Dolls for special friends in a Mail Art Swapping group I belong to.  This B'day Kitty's head is from German Scrap from Paper Dreams Factory.  Her clothes are from DCWV paper packs.  She is carrying a bird brad.  Her headpiece has a crocheted flower and a tiny dragonfly bead.

Happy Saturday.

Dream Garden in Black & White

This is not a Stamp N Plus stamp but is a stamp from Stampin Up's Dream Garden set.  I used it to make an Artist Trading Card for a Black & White theme.  I thought I'd post here to remind everyone that Stamp N Plus is hosting a B&W Challenge this month.

Happy Tuesday!

June Weddings

June is a popular month for weddings so I wanted to post a recent wedding card that I made.  The stamps are  from www.stampnplus.com.  The bride and groom are catalog #s:  4100B & 4100G.  I stamped them with black Stazon ink and cut them out and centered them on a background made with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I placed a glittery die cut over the images.  The foliage was punched with a Martha Stewart punch out of glittered wrapping paper..  Prima flowers in white were added.  Stickles were used as a further embellishment to the flowers in the images and as centers for the primas.  The use of silver makes using this card for a 25th Anniversary another possibility.

Patti's Kids Hula Kitty

My daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law are members of the Hula Association of the Midwest.  I often make and donate cards to sell as a fundraiser at their events.  This card was made with a Stamp N Plus Patti's Kids kitty stamp x2744.  I have many kitty stamps and Patti's Kids are among my favorites.  The background is a tropical flower embossing folder.  The ovals were cut with Spellbinders dies.  The tropical leaves were cut with a Cheery Lynn die.  Large pink flowers are Michaels wedding table confetti and other flowers were created with punches.  Tiny lei flowers are Spring confetti I found at JoAnns several years ago.  Kitty's grass skirt is paper-pieced after fringing.  Skirt and flowers are glittered with Stickles.

When I'm Old...

This card was inspired by the book "When I Am Old, I Shall Wear Purple" and by the Red Hat Ladies.  This very proper lady was colored with Prismacolor pencils & OMS. I blinged her up with some glitter.  The red & white polka dot flourishes are made from a Marianne Createables die.  Silk flowers were added with iridescent rhinestone centers.  I can't find the name of the stamp co. (could be retired) but it looks quite similar the Oldies made by Art Impressions.  Happy Birthday, MaryBeth!

Rainbow Butterfly ATC

For a swap on Splitcoast stampers I stamped this Butterfly Lady on holographic paper with Black Stazon. I added a couple faceted prism-type rhinestones and rainbow butterflies punched from a Memory Box die.

Stamp N Plus Scrap N Black & White Challenge

The Stamp N Plus Design Team is hosting a Black and White Challenge.  These 40's Shoes stamps can be found HERE.  I used some scraps of DCWV Street Lace paper pack to create a sunburst background.  Spellbinders Nestabilities were used for the die cuts as well as Marianne's Creatables for the flourish on the second one.

Hope you'll join our B&W Challenge and visit the Stamp N Plus blog for more information.  You can click on the Challenge logo on the right to go to the challenge details.

Happy Tuesday, Paulette Akagi

Flying High for You

This little boy stamp, one of Patti's Kids stamps, can be found HERE.  It's listed as a Valentine's stamp but I think it would make a cute card for a little boy's birthday.  His clothes and shoes are paper pieced and the kite is a modification of iris folding and very easy to do---the folding pattern is indicated on the stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Madame Butterfly

I am swapping in a Butterflies Everywhere swap on Splitcoaststampers and I used this Rubber Poet stamp.  I made ATCs but decided to use my prototype to make a birthday card for a friend.  I used a Cuttlebug Art Deco embossing folder as the background.  The tiny butterflies were made with a Memory Box die.

She Works Hard for the Money

This ia another of my Pick a Theme ATCs.  The theme was:  She Works Hard for the Money.  I took a vintage vitamin cereal ad from the 50's.  I added some DCWV cherry print paper to represent wallpaper from that era.  An earring and a feather duster were added as embellishments.
