Forever in My Heart

The challenge this month at Rubber Dance Art Stamps uses this group of colors and a "Romance" theme.

I used Rubber Dance Art Stamps for the background.  I stamped on the tan cardstock with Ranger Distress Barn Red ink.  I also sponged the edges of this layer.  For the heart I used a die from Die-namites.  I cut the heart out of red glittered fun foam.  I traced the edge of the die onto white cardstock and fussy cut the white heart.  I added some heart shaped pearls to the center.  I added three rows of white lacy trim to the tan layer and then attached the heart.

Hope you had a great Valentine's Day.......................................Paulette

Rolo---Rolo---Rolo!

Altering rolodex cards has been my latest passion.  Here's some of the "rolos" I been making for challenges and to share with my papercrafting group who have also succumbed to the rolo craze.  Two BFFs have gifted me with dies from Paper Trey Ink for cutting out the blanks.

Here's a rolo I made for my BFF, Deb Moon, who likes Russian Nesting dolls.

The pretty dolly on the right came from a cruise brochure advertising a trip to Russia (I love her face).  I added some bling.  The set of dolls on the right came from an idea I saw on Pinterest...the biggest doll and the middle doll have pockets so the dolls fit inside each other and are removable.  Caption is computer-generated.

The backside depicts a set of meerkats---a nod to what we call the papercrafters in our group of swappers.  I found the cartoon on the right on the net.  The caption reads:  I've got the feeling there are other people inside me...

This next rolo was designed for a friend who has a wire haired fox terrier.  The two images are stickers from Graphic 45's collection:  Raining Cats and Dogs that I mounted on some glittery black cardstock, I added some red dotted paper behind the girl & dog sticker and a red heart gem.

This rolo was in lieu of a birthday card so this is the back of the card.  My BFF, Phyllis, is a button collector so that's the reason for the button (also a sticker from this G45 set).  The two dog images are from the net.

These next two rolos were made as Valentines for two of my besties, Deb & Suji, who, like myself, are avid fans of Adam Lambert.  Adam was cut from an image from a magazine cover.  The background is red metallic cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug conversation hearts folder.  I added the red heart sticker to his hand and the XOXO diecuts came from my stash.

Having been burned too many times by the USPS when sending swaps through the mail, I get a bit paranoid when I don't receive confirmation from my swap-mates that they have received my swaps.  This rolo comes from the frustration I feel when weeks go by a I don't see a post saying a simple: Got it!

The nun and the image on the back come from re-purposing one of my brother's birthday cards.  The "Pleading Paulette" is a stamp I bought at my BFF Judy's garage sale for 50 cents.

This rolo came about as a result over the frustration I felt over the situation I just described and the challenge our group initiated to use "virgin" stamps---stamps in our stash that had never before seen ink.  The caption stamp (Verses) was a gift from BFF Loretta and the lady (Art Impressions) was a garage sale find (unused and 25 cents). The panties were cut out of an ad in Sunday's paper.  I love this caption.  Although unintentional at the time, looking at a photo of my completed rolo---I think the background resembles a pair of granny panties.

Time to pull up my big girl panties now and get off the computer.

I have several more of my rolos to share but I'll save them for another day.   I'll keep those rolos rolling..........................................................Paulette

Valentine Bouquet

Inspiration

I used these two dies for my design as well as a Cuttlebug Dotted Swiss embossing folder and one from Anna Griffin.  I cut the Rose Bouquet from green and two different red cardstocks.  Then I cut the roses and ribbon and paper pieced them onto the green diecut.

Valelntine's Day is a favorite holiday of mine.......Paulette
