The challenge, #39, this week at the Chalk-AH-Lot Cafe is cards with a wedding theme. I used a Memory Box die called Honey Blossom to cut out the floral spray from my favorite paper for chalking---Staples matte photo paper. I colored with Chalk-AH-Lot powdered chalks. Lime for the leaves & stems and Blush & Rose for the flowers. I heat-embossed "Love" with Versamark Ink & gold embossing powder. "Love" is a set of word stamps from Stamp N Plus that can be ordered by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1783. I love this font. I used some wedding-themed 12X12 patterned paper that had a scalloped edge and tiny metallic gold dots. I cut the paper to fit my A2 sized card and cut out a window with a Spellbinders label die. To tie in the gold dots in the patterned paper, I edged the cutout with a gold Krylon pen. I finished the card by embellishing with pink half pearls and a pre-made satin bow.
June is a popular month for weddings...hope this inspires you if you have wedding cards to make this wedding season. Thanks for stopping by. Paulette
This is such a delicate elegant card. I love the softness that the chalk gives to the die cut flowers. The ribbon flower adds great dimension, as do the pearls. The touches of gold add a lovely richness to the card. Good stuff, Paulette.
