Kitty Christmas Ornament
Stamp N Plus has a line of stamps called Patti's Kids and the artist also design the cutest cat stamps. This cat head is part of the 2010 Christmas collection. There are 5 stamps in the set. This one is X2931 and can be found HERE. I love making art dolls and this is my favorite template. It's something I found on the internet several years ago. I stamped the cat head on white cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The hat and collar are paper-pieced. A bit of glitter was added for sparkle.
Merry Christmas in July, Paulette Akagi

Magical Bubbles
I hope you had a chance to visit the Stamp N Plus blog hop and see all the variations using The Dreamer stamp J 882. This pretty lady is the July stamp of the month and can be found HERE in the Fantasy Collection.
I had so much fun with this stamp that I chose a totally different color scheme and theme for this version. My previous card was blue and had a rainbow butterfly theme. In this card I used pink Prismacolor pencils and OMS to color The Dreamer. I gave her clothes some sparkle with a thin coat of Stickles. In this version she's blowing some magical pink bubbles (rhinestones). I've framed her with some glittery pink gift wrap paper and a white layer dry embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder. The flourish across the bottom was a clearance item from Michaels.
Happy Monday...if you missed the blog hop you can still see all the Design Team creations using The Dreamer by clicking on the links in my previous post.

This Stamp N Plus stamp, called The Dreamer, is J 882 and can be found HERE in the Stamp N Plus Fantasy collection. I detached the sentiment from the main image to be able to use them as two separate stamps. They were stamped on blue cardstock with Black Stazon ink. The glittered paper is wrapping paper I found at Michaels. The butterflies were cut with a Memory Box die. The flourishes were cut with a Marianne Creatables die, the sentiment was cut with a Spellbinders scalloped circle die and the frame behind the sentiment is fashioned from two Persian motifs cut from a Spellbinders die. A rhinestone on the tip of her cap and a few silvery Stickles complete the design.
Now it's time to visit Jackie

Welcome Back, Project Runway
Tim, Heidi and the gang are back with a new season of Project Runway. I thought I'd join the fun and play fashion designer with another beautiful Iris Folding stamp from Stamp N Plus. This one is new and not up on the website yet but you can order it by calling LuAnn directly 715-271-1873.
For my design I stamped the image on the back of the pattern paper (Basic Grey) and cut out the outline of the dress with a craft knife. The stamped image has all the guidelines and is numbered so it is just like paint by numbers to know how to place the folded strips. The bodice is done in glittery wrapping paper from Michaels. The skirt is folded strips of a glittered organdy ribbon from JoAnn's. I used a Spellbinders oval scallop die to cut the frame. The shoulder decoration is a piece of an earring. The flourishes were cut from the same paper as the bodice with a die from Marianne Createables. Silk flowers with rhinestone center complete my design.
Happy Monday,
Paulette

A Little Birdie...
I think this would be a great Congratulations card---the inside sentiment could start out: A little birdie told me.... I'm taking an online Colored Pencil art class from My Creative Classroom and this birdie is the product of my first lesson.
Ayako in a Red Kimono
It's a sunny day in Tokyo and Ayako is out for an afternoon stroll through the teahouse gardens. The stamped image was colored with prismacolors and OMS. A Martha Stewart punch-all-over-the-page punch was used to create the screen effect in the background. Ayako is one of the cute Asian stamps from an Hawaiian stamp company--Sister Stamps. TGIF

Sympathy Card---Musical Theme
A friend's son died recently and I sent her this sympathy card. I chose a musical theme as Michael was an accomplished director and professor of music. I used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders for the dry embossing. The treble clef is German Scrap from the Paper Dreams Factory. The flourishes were made with a Marianne Creatables die. B&W prima flowers and rhinestones complete the design.

Christmas in July Kitty
Our sister blog Chalk-Ah-lot is having a Christmas in July challenge. I chose this kitty from the Patti's Kids line. The kitty is X2808 and the sentiment is L1563. The designer paper is Cosmo Cricket. The dies are all Spellbinders. The kitty was colored with powdered chalks from Chalk-Ah-Lot. Hope you will pop on over to the Chalk-Au-Lot challenge and play along.

Just Chillin'
It's been a hot, dry summer here in the MadCity so I decided to do a cool theme this week. This stamp is F-PP 111 from Stamp N Plus' Pepe & Fufu collection. I chose some cool citrus colors to complement Pepe as he floats down a lazy river.
Happy Monday!

Meet Ayako
Meet Ayako, she's a geisha from Tokyo. It's a sunny day and her umbrella is protecting her peaches 'n cream complexion from the solar rays. The stamp is by Sister Stamps and her hair and kimono have been paper pieced. The umbrella was colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. Flourishes are die cut from Marianne Creatables.

Miyoko and the Bling Cupcake
I participated in a blog hop last week with Sister Stamps. They were giving away Blog Candy and I won! I won this adorable stamp who's name is Miyoko. She is holding a little cupcake but I decided to give her a BIG blinged-out cupcake --- it's one of my shopping scores from Michaels, it rang up as 1 cent!!! Miyoko is paper-pieced instead of colored. The pink flower was part of my blog candy win also.

Summer Frock in Blue and White Polka Dots
Another iris fold dress stamp from Stamp N Plus. This stamp is so new it isn't on the website yet but you can order by calling LuAnn at 715-271-1873. I thought the blue & white polka dots would give this dress a Summery feel. The blue flower is felt and attached with a brad. The tiny flower on the dress was made with a Carl punch. The leaves are cut from a Cheery Lynn tropical leaf die. There are many iris fold dress stamps at Stamp N Plus. As I explained in a previous post---this technique is just as simple as paint-by-number. The stamp has lines to guide you where to place the folded paper strips and the lines are numbered. Stamp on the back, cut out the dress with a craft knife and then working from the backside, place the folded strips and secure them with tape. You too can play Project Runway.
Have a great week.

Ready for Project Runway
Project Runway's new season starts this month. I chose this stamp to showcase Stamp N Plus' line of Iris Fold stamps designed by LuAnn. There is an entire section of stamps devoted to fashion---dresses and accessories. I just love playing fashion designer---wonder what Heidi & Tim would think of my design???
The stamp is new and not even posted on the store's website but give LuAnn a call and she will get it out to you--- 715-271-1873. When I first saw these iris fold stamps, I was totally intimidated. It looked really complicated but the stamps are similar to paint-by-number. You stamp the image on the BACK of your paper & then cut out the outline of the dress with a craft knife. Working from the back, you use the lines and numbers on the stamped dress to place your folded strips of paper attaching them with pieces of Scotch tape.
For my dress I used some satiny pink paper and some striped ribbon. The flowers were cut from a silk ribbon and I added some pink rhinestone centers. The branches were made with a Martha Stewart punch.
This card was made for Stamp N Plus July Challenge: Anything Goes I invite all my readers to enter our challenge for a chance to win some great prizes. You can get the details here .
Thanks for stopping by and please enter our challenge.

Hooray for the Red, White & Blue!
I chose a red, white & blue color palette to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. This Patti's kids stamp is Amy & Rascal J2529 and can be found here. I paper-pieced Amy's entire outfit & shoes. Rascal was also paper-pieced. The flower brads were added to the hat & pants leg. The die cuts are from a Marianne Creatables die. The flowers are punched with a Carl punch and embellished with rhinestone centers. Hope you are celebrating this week---it's America's Birthday.
Happy 4th of July!
Paulette
