Time for one more Valentine. This stamp is from the Patti's Kids collection and has been adapted for use as an iris fold stamp. The stamp can be found on the Stamp N Plus website and is W-IR114. With the guide for placing the folded strips on the stamp, the iris fold technique is as easy as pie.
I stamped on white cardstock and colored the image. I cut out the image and then glued it to a piece of light pink cardstock that had been dry embossed with the Cuttlebug dotted swiss folder. Using a craft knife, I cut out the heart. Then working from the backside, I taped down the folded strips of foil gift wrap to form the iris fold design on the center of the heart. This layer was then attached to a slightly larger layer of darker pink cardstock to provide a frame. A pale pink scalloped rectangle cut from a Spellbinders die was placed at an angle on a white A2 card and the layers completed in Step 1 were glued at an angle to the scalloped layer. I added some dark pink liquid pearls to Patti's skirt, some silk flowers with yellow Stickle centers, some heart gems and a pale pink ribbon.
Hope you remember someone special this Valentines Day. Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet card, Paulette. She's adorable holding that giant heart. Love the foil iris folded. It catches the light and shows off the folds so well. Great layout, too.
