Sunset Silhouette

My weekly Stamp N Plus design is being posted a day early this week since it is being featured on the Chalk-AH-Lot Cafe blog today.  I used powdered chalks from Chalk-AH-Lot.  The colors I used are:
 Mossy Green, Crimson, Candy Apple, Perky and Sparky.  You can find the chalks HERE.

The die used for the tree and birds is from Sizzix, the paper is from DCWV, the birds have rhinestone eyes and black half pearls complete the design.

Victorian Style Button Fairies

I'm in a Button Fairy swap on Splitcoaststampers and I found some Victorian, little girl gift tags that I've been hoarding for 20 years.  They just begged to have a new life.  The button fairies are easy to make and very addictive.  The antique buttons were strung on wire and then the paper heads were glued on.  Ribbons and flowers along with Stickles were added to the hats as embellies.  Some charms and beads were also used along with the buttons.  The wings were cut with a butterfly die from Marianne Creatables.

Honey Blossom Morning

Another card using a background of Chalk-Ah-Lot powdered chalks which can be found HERE.  The colors I used were:  Blush, Nifty and Peach.

The circle was cut with a Nellie Snellen die and the flowers were cut from a Memory Box die.  The patterned papers are from DCWV.  Rhinestones were added as embellishments.

Thinking of You

For my Thinking of You card I used a stamp and powdered chalks sold by Stamp N Plus.  The sentiment can be found HERE X2090.  The powdered chalks are Chalk-Ah-Lots, which can be found HERE.  The colors I used were:  Blush, Nifty and Peach.

The oval was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders die and the butterfly was cut with a die by Marianne's Creatables.  Rhinestone jewels were used as embellishments along with a touch of Stickles on the edges of the wings.

I used a Staples brand of matte photo paper and applied the chalks with a sponge.  This paper has a felt-like texture and this quality combined with its bright white color provided a perfect media to bring out the vibrancy of these beautiful chalks.  Staples often has the paper for free when you submit a rebate form.  You can find the paper HERE.  The paper is cardstock weight and I have been using it as my "go to" white paper for stamping and cardmaking.

The Farmer in the Dell

I know the farmers are anxious to get busy in the fields---unfortunately the cold & rainy weather has put them behind schedule.  Here's a card depicting a bright sunny day on the farm.  The stamp is from Stamp N Plus and is available here.  I added a punched sun that sparkled up with some Stickles.

Button Fairies

I made these button fairies for a Button Fairy swap here on Splitcoaststampers.  The heads are Dolly Dingle's from the internet.  I used both new & vintage buttons and beads from my stash.  Easy to make and fun way to use up all those buttons I've collected over the years.
